D8 HONORS

District Eight Pastor selected by the Louisiana Baptist Convention
 to be the
North Louisiana Bi-Vocational
"Pastor of the Year"

Brian & Christi Ray, pastor and wife, of the Robeline First Baptist Church were recognized before a room filled with Bi-Vocational pastors and wives from all across the State of Louisiana, at the 2010 LBC State Convention, to be the North Louisiana "Pastor of the Year".   Lee Dickson was privileged to present a plaque to Brian and Christi on behalf of Louisiana Baptists in honor of their recognition.  Brian has served as pastor of First Baptist for the past eight years.  The church has shown sizable growth over these years.  He has also served as Vice Moderator of Natchitoches Association for the past two years, and currently serves as Moderator.  Christi has served as Natchitoches Associational Vacation Bible School Director for the past five years.  They have been married for 12 years, and have four children.   Brian's current secular employment is with PetroHawk in the oil and gas industry.   The church recently held a Revival that was scheduled for four days, but God's Holy Spirit caused it to last two weeks, with many people being saved and the Evangelist canceling a commitment in another state to stay and see the Lord do His work in this church and community.
